Connect your workspace

Connecting links the extension to your Zaai Dev account so captures can be pushed into projects. It's optional — local capture works without it — and explicit.

Connect the extension

    Open the extension in the browser side panel.

    Click Connect Zaai Dev account. Chrome opens a window on zaaidev.com.

    Sign in with a magic link or Continue with Google. The workspace mints an access token for the extension — your password is never handled by the extension.

    The window closes and the header swaps the Connect button for a project picker. You're connected.

Zaai Dev is in waitlist mode while we onboard early users. If your account isn't approved yet, the connect step will tell you you're on the waitlist instead of issuing a token — you'll get an email the moment you're approved, then reopen the extension and connect.

What the token can do

  • It's an opaque bearer token stored in the extension's local storage — not your password or email.
  • It's scoped to your current workspace and lets the extension list your projects and push captures.
  • You can revoke it any time at zaaidev.com/dev/settings/tokens. Revoking disconnects the extension; your local captures are untouched.
