Do I need an account?
No — capturing works fully locally with no account. A workspace connection is optional and only needed to push captures into projects or use the MCP. See Connect your workspace.
Can I use it on any site?
Yes. There's no always-on content script — the extension reaches a page on demand via activeTab and scripting only when you start a capture.
Will you read my passwords or form data?
No. Form values, hidden fields, and inline scripts are blanked before a capture is stored. Visible page text is preserved (redaction can't distinguish PII from layout), so avoid capturing pages showing sensitive information.
Does the extension phone home?
No analytics, ads, or third-party tracking ship in the extension. The only network requests go to zaaidev.com, and only when you're connected and pushing.
Does region recording capture audio?
No — only the video pixels of the region you select, while you're actively recording.
How do I disconnect or stop syncing?
Revoke the token at zaaidev.com/dev/settings/tokens (or clear it from the extension). Your local captures are unaffected.
What happens when I uninstall?
Chrome clears the extension's local storage and capture database on uninstall. Captures you already pushed stay in your workspace.
